Review: Twilight Hunter by Kait Ballenger

Hunters of the supernatural, the Execution Underground are an elite group tasked with protecting humanity...but what happens when danger collides with desire?

Jace McCannon has one loyalty: the Execution Underground. Despite his mixed blood, his hatred for the werewolves he hunts is legendary. But in his search for a sadistic killer, Jace finds himself face to face with a stunningly seductive packmaster…and longing for a night with his mortal enemy.

Nothing can stop Frankie Amato from defending her kind—or catching the rogue responsible for killing women in her territory. For that, this alpha female needs Jace’s skills more than she wants to admit. But as their investigation exposes evil truths, need burns into a passion that dare not be fulfilled. For to do so will have deadly consequences for them both…

My Review:
I was totally blown away by this book.  Its not at all like you would expect!  It was a rough, gritty, and in your face ride that I completely enjoyed!!

Jace is one seriously bad-ass and tortured soul. He's a loner with a love for justice and the underdog, as well as a deep hate for werewolves. His latest case he's assigned to is gruesome and he almost positive the killer is a werewolf.  He has a surprise waiting for him at the latest murder scene when he shows up.  The biggest part of the surprise is how much he wants her in bed.

Frankie has taken it upon herself to track down the rogue killer.  What she doesn't plan on is sidetracked by the super-hot stud that is already working on it.  As the alpha to her pack, she has already been promised to another.  But one whiff of Jace has her seriously re-thinking her duties.

The chemistry between them is electric.  The story is unbelievably well written but the mystery of the whole book is Damon.  If you have read the first book in the series, you know that Damon handpicked this bunch of guys specifically for their skills.  So what happened to him from book 1 to book 2???  Seriously Kait, your killing us!  I was totally all about him..lol.  I can't wait for the rest of the series!!
